Biography

Dr. Jaco Viljoen is an esteemed orthopaedic surgeon whose career is marked by a deep commitment to patient care and specialized expertise in managing complex orthopaedic conditions. Since completing his MBChB in 2004 at the University of Pretoria, Dr. Viljoen has continually advanced his skills, earning his MMed Ortho and FC Orth SA in 2015. These achievements paved the way for his role as the head of the tumour, Sepsis, and Limb Reconstruction Unit at Steve Biko Academic Hospital, where he led a team addressing challenging cases involving bone infections and tumour management.

Driven by a passion for excellence, Dr. Viljoen now practices privately, offering personalized care and advanced treatment options for patients. His dedication to ongoing learning and teaching, as evidenced by his involvement in training programs, underscores his commitment to the field and his patients.
